Diversify tourism products to attract more tourists
(BNP) – Over the past time, the tourism sector of the province has made strong changes and achieved many positive results. In addition to promoting, enhancing service quality and improving the business environment, the sector has also strived to diversify its tourism products to attract more travelers.

Bac Ninh boasts of 1,558 historical and cultural vestiges, of which 556 sites are classified including 04 Special National Relics, 193 National Relics, 359 Provincial Relics, and over 500 big and small festivals, especially Quan ho folk songs, which is recognized by UNESCO as the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The tourism sector of the province has diversified forms, products, tourism services, increased investment in material facilities in destinations, focused on training and improving the quality of human resources for tourism in recent years. Management activities related to security, food hygiene, and safety, environmental sanitation at tourism sites, particularly in the festive season and at major events of the country and province are strengthened. Furthermore, the sector goes on boosting the propaganda and promotion of tourism with relevant destinations, thereby, step by step creating a safe, friendly and qualified tourist environment.
Visitors call on Bac Ninh will be offered a variety of travel products. For instance, if arriving in Diem village, where formed Quan Ho folk songs, travelers not only have chances to visit Cung Temple, Ngoc well but also are immersed themselves in the tunes, the lyrics of Quan ho folk songs and the love of the local inhabitants. Also, if calling on Tu Son town, they can visit Temple of Ly Dynasty’s Kings, Dinh Bang Communal House and witness how to process and enjoy Phu The cake (wedding cake). Moreover, visitors will be enjoyed the spiritual culture coming to Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb and Temple, Phat Tich Pagoda and tried to print Dong Ho folk paintings by themselves, and tasted the special dishes of the region such as Tra Lam tofu, Dinh To soy sauce, Nem of Bui Xa village (a mix of meat and rice powder rolling with fig leaves)...
In particular, the program of singing Quan ho folk songs on boats and street cultural activities conducted since August 2017 has left many impressed in the heart of people and tourists for 05 times of organization.

The tourism promotion has been effectively implemented at the "Ho Chi Minh city’s Tourism Festival"; The Fair of tourism, food, craft and trade villages in Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam provinces; Mau Son Tourism Festival..., contributing actively to stimulating tourism in the province.
In 2017, Bac Ninh welcomed about 1.1 million visitors, in particular, in the first 6 months of 2018, the number of visitors to the province was about 828,000, increasing by 32% over the same period last year. Total revenue is estimated at VND 607 billion, climbing by 15% year-on-year.
The vision of Bac Ninh’s tourism by 2022 is that it will welcome and serve from 2 to 2.5 million visitors, turnover reached from 1.2 to 1.5 trillion. In the coming time, the province's tourism will keep developing its strategy of diversifying products, especially cultural tourism with 7 special characteristics including Quan ho folk songs, spiritual culture, history, academic tradition, festival, handicraft village, and architecture. These attempts will step by step turn Bac Ninh into an attractive traveling destination to both domestic and international visitors, strengthening the socio-economic development of the province./.
