Korean Business Association works in Bac Ninh
(BNP) - At the invitation of Bac Ninh Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, in the afternoon of August 2nd, Korean Business Association visited and learn about cooperation and investment opportunities in Bac Ninh province. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee (PPC), Mr. Ngo Dinh Loan, former Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Honorary Chairman of the Provincial Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Thanh welcomed the visit of Korean business delegation to Bac Ninh province. Besides, the Vice Chairman also thanked the Korean Business Association for their interest in assisting the delegation of the Provincial Association of Small and Medium Enterprises visiting and learning experiences in Korea in July and hoped the two associations would cooperate and boost investment in the future.
Briefing the economic situation of the province, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh said, Bac Ninh is one of the fastest growing provinces with many leading indicators all over the country such as economy scale ranking 4th, industrial production output ranking 2nd. Up to now, Bac Ninh has 10 out of 16 industrial zones in operation, attracting more than 1,200 FDI projects, with a total capital of up to USD 17 billion, of which Korea leads foreign investment with 750 projects worth USD 12 billion.
Furthermore, Vice Chairman of PPC spoke of the policy of attracting investment of the province in the coming time. Accordingly, the province has submitted to the Prime Minister on the implementation of zoning planning adjustment in conjunction with the regional construction planning of Hanoi capital city, thereby forming a pole of growth triangle, contributing to turning the Capital Region into a large, civilized and modern metropolis region in the Asia-Pacific area.
During the meeting, Korean Business Delegation expressed the gratitude to the provincial leaders for their warm welcome and wished in the coming time, the provincial leaders would pay attention to and facilitate Korean enterprises to invest and cooperate with Bac Ninh’s businesses.
