Verification of dossiers for recognition of Thuan Thanh and Luong Tai districts meeting new rural standards

(BNP) – During 2 days (February 14 – 15), a delegation of central inter-agencies led by comrade Nguyen Minh Tien, Director, Chief of the Central New Rural Coordination Office worked in Bac Ninh province to verify dossiers for recognition of Thuan Thanh and Luong Tai districts meeting new rural standards in 2019.

After 9 years of implementing the National Target Program on building new-style rural, the rural appearance has changed with many innovations; socio-economic infrastructure has been invested in a modern direction. Up to now, Thuan Thanh district reaches 9 out of 9 new rural criteria, 17 out of 17 communes reaches 19 out of 19 new rural criteria. In the period of 2011 – 2019, GRDP increased by 12.7% per year; the economic structure shifted in the right direction; the average budget revenue rose by 25.1% per year; the average income per capita in rural areas reached 46.62 million VND/ person; 100% of schools reached the national standards; the rate of poor households decreased to 0.7%...

To date, Luong Tai district reaches 9 out of 9 new rural criteria; 13 out of 13 communes reaches 19 out of 19 new rural criteria. In period of 2011 – 2019, the district mobilized over VND 1,334 billion to build new-style rural; the traffic system has been asphalted and concreted; 100% of schools reached the national standards; the average income per capita in rural areas reached 46.2 million VND/person; the rate of poor households decreased to 1.43%...

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien noted that localities need to orient the quality of criteria as well as speed up the implementation of the “One Commune, One Product” programme (OCOP) and establish the points to introduce typical local products.

For Thuan Thanh district, it should be a specific plan to implement the urban embellishment and create a bright, green, clean and beautiful landscape; assign responsibilities for political organizations and mass organizations to mobilize union members in order to actively participate in planting and tending trees in their localities. Particularly, Luong Tai district should take measures to improve effective production, increase incomes for citizens and reduce the rate of poor households, he added.

The Director, Chief of the Central New Rural Coordination Office urged the province to direct the Departments and sectors to complete the dossiers, the information and standardize the data to submit to the Central Government for appraisal and recognition of Thuan Thanh and Luong Tai districts to meet new rural standards.
