Vice Chairman Nguyen Tien Nhuong works with KOICA

(BNP) – Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tien Nhuong welcomed and worked with an expert delegation from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to carry out project of using industrial energy efficiency in the province.

Attending the meeting were representatives from the Provincial Institute for Socio – Economic Development Studies, the Department of Planing and Investment, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Foreign Affairs; the Department of Trade and Industry, Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.

At the meeting, Ms. Cho Han Kyul, Country Deputy Director of Vietnam KOICA introduced information and goal of the project to Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Tien Nhuong.
Representative from KOICA hoped to get attention and support from authority and functional agencies of Bac Ninh province so that the project would soon be deployed.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Tien Nhuong made a brief overview on the province’s recent outstanding socio–economic development. He stressed that thanks to favorable geographical and attractive incentives, Bac Ninh has made a major step forward in socio-economic development with many indicators on top of the country, especially FDI attraction with  nearly 1000 projects and total registered capital of about USD 12.3 billion. Among which, there were 400 projects from Korea’s companies such as Samsung, Orion, Daewoo, Flexcom, Intops, Nano Tech…
Parallel with the economic development, the province has always attached great importance to issues of green growth and environment protection with an aim to developing  socio – economic sustainability, he added.
He highly agreed approved  the project’s content and working results of KOICA with departments, branches and agencies in the province. He assigned Institute for Socio – Economic Development Studies in coordination with provincial departments, branches and sectors to complete necessary procedures to create all conditions for the project to be carry out in the shortest time.
