Attracting quality investment to develop modern industry

The orientation of developing high-tech industry has brought new vitality to Bac Ninh to flourish and develop. From planning to the process of directing and implementing, Industrial Parks (IPs) are not only a separate part but also create a synchronous and interconnected infrastructure system, serving secondary investors in quickly implementing projects, while contributing to improving the province's infrastructure system, positively affecting the economic restructuring.

In addition to the 16 planned IPs, Bac Ninh added 5 new IPs to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, with an area of ​​about 1,805 hectares. This shows the orientation to continue to strongly develop IPs to meet the requirements of economic development, attracting investment, and creating jobs. To date, Bac Ninh has licensed 24 industrial park infrastructure projects and more than 2,000 secondary investment projects, generating 80% of the province's industrial production value and about 90% of the province's import and export value, employing nearly 300,000 workers.

To continue attracting quality projects, in 2024, Bac Ninh has proactively and strongly innovated methods to bring about efficiency in investment promotion and attraction activities, focusing on promoting foreign affairs activities and cooperation with countries, territories, localities and units. Establishing working delegations of provincial leaders to promote investment and seek development cooperation opportunities in many countries: the US, Cuba, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, China, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, etc. At the same time, organizing receptions and working sessions with many working delegations of countries and foreign enterprises to visit and explore investment cooperation opportunities in Bac Ninh; Meeting with typical Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, etc. enterprises to share and resolve difficulties and recommendations of enterprises. In October 2024, Bac Ninh organized monthly business meetings with the message "Connecting trust, moving forward with entrepreneurs".

This year, the production output of LS ELECTRIC Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Phong Industrial Park Expansion) is expected to increase by 30% compared to 2023.

These creative moves have become the catalyst for Bac Ninh to attract and grant new large-scale production projects in industrial parks such as: Goertek Electronic Products, Network Equipment and Multimedia Audio Products Manufacturing Factory Project invested by Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 280 million USD; Foxconn Bac Ninh FCPV Factory Project invested by Foxconn Singapore with a total investment of 383.3 million USD; Victory Giant Vietnam High-Precision Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Project invested by Victory Giant Technology Singapore with a total investment of 260 million USD;...

In 2025, Bac Ninh will promote the development of high-tech, green, clean, and environmentally friendly industries; focus on building a Green Transformation Program for Industrial Parks and Industrial Clusters; promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles for businesses and infrastructure investors to soon complete the infrastructure of concentrated industrial parks and industrial clusters according to the planning; promote the development of supporting industries, improve the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises; focus on regular dialogue activities, promptly remove and handle difficulties and obstacles with the foreign business community in the locality. Continue to develop high-tech industries, form a leading electronics center in Vietnam associated with smart technology, speed up the progress of large industrial projects, have a spillover effect to become the main driving force for economic growth of the province and the whole country. Diversify and promote the development of high-tech manufacturing industries producing semiconductor equipment, information technology, pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, renewable energy equipment... to enhance the position of Bac Ninh industry in the global value chain.

Continue to promote existing advantages and maintain the electronics manufacturing industry as the main driving force for industrial development, focusing on the high-value segment. Diversify into other manufacturing industries where the province has strengths; carry out industrial production activities using green energy and renewable energy. From there, gradually improve the position in the electronics value chain, integrate the value chain with research and development and design activities, because this will be the direct market of the semiconductor industry. Bac Ninh's success is attracting large investment projects with strong brands in the continent and the world, building the characteristics of each industrial park, attracting a chain of satellite investors, creating specialized industrial parks and supporting industries, becoming a locality that has been in the top of the country for many consecutive years in attracting foreign investment in concentrated industrial parks. From the core of industrial parks, new urban areas and social infrastructure works have been formed. In a favorable economic space, safe investment environment, attractive post-investment policies, Bac Ninh today is developing with full criteria to become a modern industrial province.

The planning of Bac Ninh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, opens a new development space. This is an extremely important political and legal basis for the province to enter a new period of breakthrough, rapid and sustainable development, with the goal of becoming one of the leading localities in the country in terms of economic scale by 2050, a center for high-tech development, leading smart manufacturing in Asia and the world, a green, smart, modern and livable city with a high level of development, imbued with the identity of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac. It can be affirmed that Bac Ninh is gradually striving to become a modern industrial province, creating the basis, foundation and driving force for the balanced development of economic pillars, preparing Bac Ninh to enter the structure of the knowledge economy./.
