12th Men's and Women's Football Tournament for Workers in 2024 opens
(BNP) - On September 21, the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Parks held the opening ceremony of the 12th Men's and Women's Football Tournament for Workers in 2024, at Phu Xa Stadium, Van Mon Commune, Yen Phong District.
Leaders of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Industrial Zones Authorities and the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Park present souvenir flags to the teams participating in the tournament.
The tournament attracted more than 1,000 athletes from 72 teams (56 men's and 16 women's teams) belonging to grassroots trade unions under the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Parks, which represents over 300,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers in the Provincial Industrial Parks.
The teams compete every Sunday and apply the 7-a-side Football Rules, in the form of grouping, round robin scoring. The first and second teams in the group will enter the second round of the knockout round.

According to the plan, the tournament will close in mid-November 2024. The organizing committee will award collective prizes including: 01 First prize, 01 Second prize, 01 Third prize, 01 Fair play prize and individual prizes including: 01 excellent player prize, 01 excellent goalkeeper prize (both men's and women's football) and 01 beauty queen (for women's football).
The tournament is an annual activity of the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Parks in response to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". It also creates a healthy and useful playground to take care of the spiritual life of workers in the industrial parks in the province as well as affirms the growth of the physical exercise movement among workers in the provincial industrial parks.
