18th session of Provincial People's Council passes 8 Resolutions on economy and society
(BNP) - After 1.5 days of urgent, serious and responsible working, on July 11, the 18th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XIX closed, completing the proposed program.
Overview of the session.
The delegates objectively and comprehensively evaluated the achieved results, shortcomings and limitations in the process of directing and administering the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year. They analyzed and clarified subjective causes and low performance indicators. They also considered and proposed drastic and practical solutions to focus on effectively implementing tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.
For his part, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan accepted the opinions of the Provincial People's Council. He further explained and clarified the management work of the Provincial People's Committee and the socio-economic development situation in the first 6 months of 2024, as well as key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024. He presented the contents raised by delegates at discussion sessions.
After discussion, the Provincial People’s Council voted to pass 8 Resolutions on: Main tasks and solutions to socio-economic development in the last 6 months of 2024; Expected monitoring program in 2025 of the Provincial People’s Council, term XIX, term 2021-2026; Adjusting the provincial budget public investment plan for 2024, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024; Results of implementing budget estimates for the first 6 months of the year, plan to adjust provincial budget allocation for the last 6 months of 2024; Plan to supplement public investment plan goals in 2024 (for district-level People's Committees); Support for compensation and site clearance for Gia Binh airport construction; Adjusting the investment policy for the construction investment project of the Bac Ninh Province Volleyball Training and Competition Center; Adjusting the investment policy of the investment project to expand construction of Le Van Thinh High School, Gia Binh district.
Concluding the session, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council Tran Thi Hang affirmed that the decisions adopted at the session not only promptly resolve immediate problems, but also have fundamental and long-term significance in implementing socio-economic development goals. She requested that all levels and sectors focus on proactive, flexible, and effective direction, close coordination, synchronization and rhythm between policies, closely follow the practical situation, and promptly handle problems that arise.
