2024 National Judo Club Championships opens
(BNP) - On the evening of March 29, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Judo Federation, and Sports Authority of Viet Nam jointly organized the opening ceremony of the 2024 National Judo Club Championship.
The leaders of the Vietnam Judo Federation; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and the Office of Provincial People's Committee award Flags to units participating in the Championship.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, President of Vietnam Judo Federation; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and the Office of Provincial People's Committee.
The 2024 National Judo Club Championship is hosted by Bac Ninh, bringing together 288 athletes from 22 Clubs in 22 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide.
Athletes compete in 25 events including: male and female combat in each weight category; men's and women's team and performance competition (kata) to compete for 25 sets of medals. Among them, there are 5 sets of kata medals, 18 sets of individual combat medals (9 men's and 9 women's weight categories) and 2 sets of team medals for men and women. This is a tournament of high professional quality with the participation of many national-class athletes.
Bac Ninh team competes with 10 athletes, aiming to win 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals.
The Championship is an opportunity for athletes to bond, exchange knowledge and skills, and together build a strong Judo community. This is also an opportunity for athletes to assert themselves, show their patience, determination and passion.
The matches of the tournament take place at the Provincial Multi-Purpose Stadium. The tournament will end on April 4, 2024.
On the first day of competition (March 29), the Bac Ninh Judo team won 1 Gold Medal and 1 Silver Medal.
