Chairman of Provincial People's Committee met with delegation of Geumsan county (Korea)
(BNP) - In the morning of December 3rd, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee met with the delegation of Geumsan county, Korea led by Mr. Moon Jung Woo, Chairman of the county, paying a working visit to Bac Ninh.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Moon Jung Woo expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for his warm welcome and at the same time gave some general information about Geumsan. Geumsan is a district of Chungcheong province, in the south of Korea, where has long been known as the "the capital of ginseng". Thanks to the very favorable location and natural conditions, Geumsan is capable to plan and produce the most qualified ginseng not only in Korea but also all over the world, with the total output of tens of thousands of tons per year, accounting for 70% of the ginseng market of Korea.
Nowadays, the development of the economy and the enhancement of the living standard of people lead to the increase of the demand for using medicinal products like ginseng to improve health. Therefore, Geumsan’s leader would like to connect some local businesses to invest in building a ginseng-processing factory in Bac Ninh, contributing to local people's needs and promoting general socio-economic development of the province.
Extending his greetings to the visit of the delegation of Geumsan county, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh briefed the delegation on several remarkable socio-economic achievements of the province in the past years. With its favorable geo-location, Bac Ninh is one of the provinces where have fastest socio-economic development speed with many indicators in the top of the country. Bac Ninh has currently attracted more than 1,200 foreign businesses from 33 countries and territories, particularly, Korea is the leading partner with about 800 enterprises and the total investment of around USD 12 billion.
Furthermore, Bac Ninh is also known as a land of revolutionary, culture, where thousands of historical relics and traditional festivals of the country are preserved and brought into play. The province is currently under development to become a centrally-run city by 2022 and is taking the first steps towards building a smart city.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that, with cultural similarities and the long historical tie between the two nations, Bac Ninh always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Geumsan’s enterprises to invest in the province, contributing to developing Bac Ninh’s economy and improving the quality of life for local people.
