Chairman of Provincial People's Committee receives and works with Finnish financial institutions
(BNP) - On September 26, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee welcomed and worked with Finnish financial institutions to exchange and support the implementation of the high-tech daily-life solid waste treatment plant project in Phu Lang commune (Que Vo district).

Welcoming Finnish financial institutions to visit and work in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee briefed guests on some of the province's outstanding results in socio-economic development over the past time. Bac Ninh is considered a strongly developing province, an industrial hot pot with many indicators in the top of the country. Currently, Bac Ninh ranks first in terms of industrial production value, second in export value. The province has about 1,400 FDI investors with a total capital of over USD 18 billion. In addition to economic development, Bac Ninh also faces environmental pollution issues, especially solid waste treatment, with an amount of about 1,000 tons/day.
Bac Ninh leader announced that in 2019, Bac Ninh province selected the topic of "Bac Ninh acts for a clean environment". The treatment of daily-life solid waste will be mainly handled at 03 high-tech waste incinerators in Que Vo, Thuan Thanh and Luong Tai districts. The administrative procedures related to the Que Vo high-tech daily-life solid waste treatment plant project have been completed so far. This is the first plant to use Finnish energy-generating technology. The Chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh proposed Thang Long Energy Environment Joint Stock Company, the consultants and equipment suppliers to coordinate closely, accelerate the progress of the project as planned, contributing to resolving domestic waste well, making Bac Ninh develop harmoniously and sustainably.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged and shared about the situation of industrial and daily life waste treatment; methods of collecting, classifying and treating, difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementation,...
Also at the meeting, Finnish financial institutions spoke of the project. Up to now, Thang Long Energy Environment Joint Stock Company, the financial consulting unit and relevant units has preliminary discussions on financial issues, and launch an official plan and implementation in the earliest time. Finnish side also expressed their desire to assist Bac Ninh in carrying out waste treatment projects, and organize communication campaigns to raise people's awareness about environmental protection.
