Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang presents gift to older persons in Que Vo district
(BNP) – On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons (October 1st), Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council on September 30th visited and presented gift to older persons in Que Vo district.
Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang encouraged Mrs. Ngo Thi Thu.
Joining the Delegation were leaders of Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Representation Board of Provincial Association of the Elderly and Que Vo district.
Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang and the Delegation visited and encouraged disadvantaged older persons including Mrs Ngo Thi Thu (97 years old) in Van Xa hamlet, Cach Bi commune; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Khuon (88 years old) in Nghiêm Xa, Viet Hung commune; Mrs. Dinh Thi Nhi (87 years old) in Sau hamlet, Bang An commune.
The Chairwoman visited living conditions as well as encouraged and shared the difficulties of the olders person. She also sent greetings to the elderly people and wished them longevity.
After visiting living conditions of older persons, the Chairwoman urged local authority, mass organizations, individuals, community, making mass movement in taking care disadvantaged older persons, and helping them live better.
