Chairwoman of National Assembly of Lao PDR visits and works with leaders of Bac Ninh province

(BNP) - In the framework of the official visit in Vietnam, on April 17th 2017, Chairwoman of National Assembly of Lao PDR Pany Yathotou visited and worked with leaders of Bac Ninh province.

Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien offered flower to Chairwoman of National Assembly of Lao PDR.

On the side of National Assembly of Vietnam, attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Van Tuy, Member of Central Party Committee, Deputy Head of Comission for Organization, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of Committee for Members of National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Central Friendship Association; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tien, Deputy Head of the National Assembly's External Affairs Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Central Friendship Association.

The leaders of Bac Ninh province attending the meeting were: Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy Secretary of the PPC; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Hang, Deputy Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly and representatives of provincial departments.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien expressed his happiness to the visit of Chairwoman of Lao PDR’s National Assembly Pany Yathotou to Vietnam and sent good wishes to the Chairwoman and members of the Delegation on the occasion of the traditional New Year of Bunpimay at the same time. He also informed the Chairwoman and the delegation general overview of the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province through 20 years of re-establishment, especially the results of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).

Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien also affirmed the special relationship as well as brotherly friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general, Bac Ninh province and Hua Phan province in particular. Bac Ninh has been implementing programs to train officials, educational support for Hua Phan, he said. Besides, the Secretary of the PPC wished that the Chairwoman of Lao PDR’s National Assembly’s Pany Yathotou would continue to motivate the development of better and better traditional ties between Vietnam and Lao PDR in general and Bac Ninh province with the localities of Lao PDR in particular.

The Chairwoman of Lao PDR’s National Assembly Pany Yathotou expressed her sincere thanks to the warm welcome of Mr. Tran Van Tuy and the leaders of Bac Ninh province and showed her happiness to the great development that Bac Ninh province reached for the past years. For the traditional relationship, long-lasting friendship between the two countries, the Chairwoman of Lao PDR’s National Assembly hoped that this relationship would continue to be tightened for long-term development, Bac Ninh continued to help Hua Phan in the various field of economy, investment attraction, officials training, etc. In her position, the Chairwoman Pany Yathotou would try her best to foster friendship of 2 countries Vietnam - Lao, especially Lao with Bac Ninh, Bac Ninh with Hua Phan.
