Cooperative and Cooperative Economic Forum in 2024
(BNP) - On the morning of February 2, Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Cooperative and Economic Forum in 2024 with the theme "Improving the State's support policy according to Resolution No. 2024-/NQ/TW dated June 20, 16 - Motivation to promote collective economic development and cooperatives (Cooperatives) in the new period". The forum is connected online to the venues of 63 provinces and centrally run cities.

At the Bac Ninh’s venue, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan attended and presided the conference.
According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, it is estimated that by 2023, the country will have more than 31.700 cooperatives, 158 cooperative unions and 73.000 cooperative groups. In 2022, the average revenue of cooperatives will reach nearly 3,6 billion VND/year, an increase of 35% compared to 2021; Average profit is about 366 million VND/year, an increase of 71% compared to 2021; The average income of a regular worker in a cooperative in 2022 is 56 million VND/person/year.
In recent years, the Party, State, Government, all levels, sectors and localities have always paid attention to and promulgated and implemented many guidelines, mechanisms and policies to develop the collective economy and cooperatives. Up to now, the collective economic sector has basically overcome its long-term weakness. Cooperatives have basically completed the transition to a new model.
At the Forum, representatives from cooperatives, cooperative unions, businesses, ministries, branches and localities analyzed what has been done and what has not been done; existence, limitations, causes and lessons learned; analyzed opportunities, challenges and support needs in the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the coming time...
Speaking at the forum, PM Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the opinions and contributions of cooperatives, ministries, branches, and localities.
In the coming time, the PM proposed that cooperatives, ministries, branches, and localities focus on implementing a number of contents and solutions, such as: promoting propaganda and raising awareness about the Law on Cooperatives in 2023; soon-to-issue documents guiding the implementation of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives; soon-to-complete documents on capital, land, etc. for the field of collective economy and cooperatives; improving the quality of human resources in cooperatives and so on.
Immediately after the conference, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the departments, branches, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance, and localities follow the Prime Minister's instructions.
