Dai Bai Bronze

Dai Bai has an ancient name of Buoi Nui village, the age of the craft village has been calculated to 1,000 years. Its founder Nguyen Cong Truyen who was assigned to the position the General of Front Imperial Court of the Ly Dynasty. When he has been to China for a business trip, he had learned metal ware moulding, making agricultural tools and homewares. After he had left his title behind in 1018, has had been back to the village to guide the villagers to make the forge, to produce mechanics. Since then, the agricultural tools have been improved and applied to the production process, resulting in significant increase in labor productivity.

The Dai Bai bronze homeware craft village produced the first copper saucepans and including others such as pots, trays, betel trays, copper spittoons were also born. Currently, Dai Bai villages have produced many different items to meet the needs of domestic and foreign customers: copper statues, copper burners, vases, paintings, bronze parallels, … In addition, several businesses and facilitates also participate in the production of mechanical goods in copper which bring high economic efficiency as lock, balcony, motorcycle parts…

Nearly 40 businesses and more than 1,200 households of Dai Bai village have been innovated in forging, mounding bronze and producing and trading traditional copper and aluminum products, creating jobs and a stable income source for thousand local labors.

The beauty of culture and the strong development of traditional bronze moulding has made Dai Bai village become an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors when visiting Bac Ninh.
