Do Temple Festival in year of At Ty 2025 celebrates 1015th anniversary of King Ly Thai To's coronation

(BNP) - Tu Son City People's Committee has just issued Plan on organizing the Do Temple Festival in the year of At Ty 2025 to celebrate the 1015th anniversary of King Ly Thai To - Cong Uan's coronation as Emperor on March 15, Canh Tuat year (1010) - March 15, Giap Thin year (2025).


The ritual of carrying the Mother Goddess from Ung Tam Pagoda to Do Temple in the Do Temple Festival in the year of Giap Thin 2024.

Accordingly, the Do Temple Festival will take place from April 11 to April 13, 2025 (i.e. from March 14 to March 16, At Ty year) at the Do Temple National Special Relic Site, Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son city.

In terms of traditional rituals, there will be a procession from Do Temple - Rong Temple to Ung Tam Pagoda (Dan Pagoda) on April 11, 2025 (March 14, At Ty year); a procession of the Mother Goddess from Ung Tam Pagoda to Do Temple; and a ceremony to announce King Ly Thai To's Edict to move the capital on April 12, 2025 (March 15, At Ty year).

Along with that, there are the exhibitions' opening ceremony including images of "Dinh Bang - the birthplace of the Ly dynasty and spiritual tourism journey"; images of Tu Son and documents related to the prosperous Ly dynasty; exhibition to solicit public opinions on ten logos representing Tu Son city; exhibition and auction of antiques at the Nam Hong Royal Museum; exhibition of ornamental plants.

In addition, there will be a Tourism Food Festival with 100 stalls and the opening of Tu Son City's strolling street; a Ca Tru singing performance; Dong Ngu water puppetry; and an open pickleball competition at Do Temple. The festival also organize the following events:  Traditional wrestling, Chinese chess, tom-diem, table tennis, leather volleyball, folk games, badminton, Phu Cake wrapping competition, clay pot rice cooking...

In particular, the People's Committee of Tu Son city will organize the 1015th anniversary of the coronation of King Ly Thai To - Cong Uan on March 15, Canh Tuat (1010) - March 15, At Ty (2025) and receive the Certificate of ranking as a Special National Monument for Dinh Bang communal house; National Monument of the Memorial House of Comrade Le Quang Dao; National Treasure of the golden seal "Hoang De Chi Bao" of the Nam Hong Royal Museum.
