Evaluation of J02 rice production model associated with product consumption in 2024 Summer-Autumn crop
(BNP) - On October 29, the Provincial Center for Agricultural Extension and High-tech Agricultural Development (Center) organized a conference to evaluate J02 rice production model associated with product consumption in the 2024 Summer-Autumn crop in Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city.

Attending the conference were representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tu Son city, Vietnam High-tech Agricultural Materials and Seed Joint Stock Company (Company), Agricultural Service Centers of districts, towns and cities; representatives of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and typical rice producing households.
In the 2024 Summer-Autumn crop, the Center has developed a model of J02 rice production linked to product consumption on a scale of 17.2 hectares in Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city. This is a variety originating from Japan, imported and selected by the Agricultural Genetics Institute. It also is assessed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a new crop variety.
After 4 months of production, the J02 rice variety grew and developed well. This is a high-yield, high-quality variety with a growing period of 110-112 days and outstanding advantages. Due to the impact of storm No. 3, the rice yield was estimated at 59.8 quintals/ha. The Company signed a contract to link and consume rice products with farmers.
