FDI reaches over USD 1 billion in 6 months

(BNP) – According to the Statistics Office, in the first 6 months this year, foreign investors have poured USD 1,013.7 million into Bac Ninh. This number includes newly registered capital, capital contributed and shares purchased by foreign investors.

From the beginning of the year to June 15th, the province has granted new investment certificates to 99 FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 606.8 million, up 3.1% for the number of projects and 2.9 times for the registered capital over the same period last year; issued investment certificates to adjust capital for 66 projects with a total adjusted capital increased by USD 386.3 million. The value of capital contribution, share purchase and capital contribution reached USD 20.6 million.

Among which, the province issued investment certificates for many large-scale projects of reputable corporations and corporations such as the factory of manufacturing electronics equipment, network equipment and multimedia audio products of Goertek Co., Ltd (Hongkong, China) with a total investment of USD 260 million in Que Vo Industrial Park(expansion area); the factory of manufacturing circuit board, electronic circuit board and equipment for testing circuit boards of TSE Co., Ltd. (Korea) with a total investment of USD 19 million in VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park; the project of manufacturing wireless networking modules, routers, cable modems, TV signal decoding equipment from British investor Cybertan (BVI) Investment Corp with a total investment of USD 9 million at Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park; the project of manufacturing and processing products from magnets using in the production of tablets, tablet-coated products of Novatech Co., Ltd. with a total investment of USD 5 million in Que Vo III Industrial Park…

Until now, the province has 1,387 valid FDI projects with the total registered capital after adjusting and contributing capital, buying shares, and the contributed capital of USD 18,129 million.
