Food production, trade and advertisement to be tightened
(BNP) - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong has signed Plan No. 01/KH-BCĐLNATTP to implement Action Month for Food Safety in 2020.
Committee of Culture and Social Affairs oversees food hygiene and safety at Lam Phuc Viet Food Investment and Processing Joint Stock Company.
According to the Plan, the Action Month for Food Safety in 2020 will take place from April 15 to May 15, 2020 in the whole province with the title "Strictly complying with legal policies in production, business and advertisement for food”.
In addition to regular tasks to ensure food safety, the Action Month for Food Safety in 2020 is also a highlight of the year which will make a peak, launch a communication campaign for legal observation in food safety in food production, trade and advertisement activities; proactively prevent food pollution, minimize food poisoning, especially collective food poisoning due to the use of unhealthy food. On the other hand, it will raise the awareness and responsibility of organizations, individuals and businesses in the implementation of the law on food safety; promoting the role of governments at all levels, State management agencies, social organizations and consumers' supervision for legal observation in food safety in food production, trade and advertisement activities.
One of the key tasks of the Action Month for Food Safety 2020 is to launch a communication campaign to ensure food safety, which focus on propagandizing policies and laws, popularizing models of production and business of traditional products and food chain safety in order to promote and encourage the production of safety food as well as local specialties ... conferences or other forms of implementation are also held throughout the province to enhance the responsibility of food producers and traders.
Along with that, interdisciplinary inspection teams are established from provincial to district levels to boost inspection and examination of compliance with food safety laws by individuals, food production, business and advertisement establishments; detect and strictly handle violations to warn, deter and prevent illegal acts of food production and business and minimize poisoning caused by unhealthy food consumption. Consumers are publicly warned about organizations and individuals that produce, trade or advertise foodstuffs violating of laws.
