Meeting to celebrate 95th anniversary of establishment of Indochinese Communist Party of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang
(BNP) - On August 2, at Hong Van Mountain (Lim Mountain, Tien Du District), the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces held a meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of establishment of Indochinese Communist Party of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang (August 4, 1929- 2024).

Bac Ninh’s leaders at the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On behalf of the leaders of the two provinces, Bac Ninh’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that, implementing the assignment of the Provisional Central Executive Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party, under the direction of comrade Ngo Gia Tu, on August 4, 1929, at Hong Van Mountain, the Indochinese Communist Party of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang was established. This historic event opened the way for the strong development of the revolutionary movement in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, making an important turning point in the founding and consolidation of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

After more than 27 years of separation, the Party Committee, government, and people of the two provinces have promoted the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, effort, hard work, and unity, together overcoming difficulties and challenges, concentrating all resources, building the two localities to develop further, and achieving many achievements in all fields. Currently, Bac Ninh province is focusing resources on meeting the criteria for a type I urban area and becoming a centrally-run city before 2030. Bac Giang province strives to become one of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region's industrial development centers and "growth poles" with the goal of being a modern industrial province by 2030.

In order to strengthen the education of revolutionary traditions and preserve and promote historical and cultural values for the generations of cadres, party members, and people today and tomorrow, especially the young generation, the Bac Ninh and Bac Giang’s Provincial Party Committees jointly directed the construction of a stele marking the founding site of the Indochinese Communist Party of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang at Hong Van Mountain (Lim Mountain) in Tien Du District. This place will be a red address for educating revolutionary traditions for cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life and a source of pride and honor for the two brotherly provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Indochinese Communist Party of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang. They vowed to continue the legacy of previous generations, continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity, and join hands to build the two localities to become increasingly comprehensive, solid, and prosperous, as President Ho Chi Minh instructed.

At the program, leaders of the two provinces performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the stele marking the founding site of the Indochinese Communist Party of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang and planted a memorial tree at Hong Van mountain.
Previously, leaders of the two provinces and delegates offered incense to commemorate the ancestors who contributed to the people and the country at Hong An Pagoda on Hong Van Mountain, Tien Du District, Bac Ninh province.
