National historical and artistic relic of Thanh Lam Temple

(BNP) - Thanh Lam Temple, An Thinh Commune, Luong Tai District is a religious work of the local people. It was started in the Le Dynasty. It also has been restored and embellished several times in the history. Today, the temple still has architectural imprints of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Thanh Lam Temple has an architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter, including 03 compartments, 02 small-compartments front hall and 02-compartment Emperor’s Harem.

Thanh Lam Temple worships Saint Hong Cong.

02-compartment Emperor’s Harem is a sanctuary for worshiping the Saint, placing the throne, tablets and many worshiping objects.

Thanh Lam Temple worships Saint Hong Cong, the third brother of 07 brothers who helped the Ly Dynasty to fight the Mana invaders and keep the country's borders at the beginning of the 11th century.


The banyan tree is honored as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree.

In the temple's premises is a large brick yard, with many ancient trees creating the purity and coolness of the relic, including a 300-year-old banyan tree in front of the temple door which has been honored as "Heritage Tree".

Thanh Lam Temple still preserves precious documents and artifacts that are meaningful for scientific research and direct education for all generations today and in the future. These are 11 ordinations, worship items, and documents in Chinese, especially 18 stone steles dating from the Le - Nguyen dynasties, including 01 Quang Trung stele in the 3rd year.

Thanh Lam Temple is ranked as a National Historical and Architectural Monument in Decision No. 295/QD-BT dated 12/02/1994.
