National historical and artistic relic of Vinh Kieu communal house
(BNP) - Located next to the ancient Tieu Tuong river, Vinh Kieu communal house, Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city, was built a long time ago. During the Nguyen Dynasty, under the reign of King Thanh Thai 9 (1895), the communal house was repaired for the first time. Over time, the communal house still retains its ancient architectural features and is a place for cultural and religious activities of local people.
Vinh Kieu Communal House worships the village's Tutelary God, Saint Tam Giang (i.e., Truong Hong, Truong Hat), and the Patriarch of the "Ngoa" profession (construction profession) of the quarter. Currently, the communal house has a Dai Dinh (Great Communal Hall), Hau Cung (Emperor’s Harem) and auxiliary works.
The communal house gate, also the gate of Vinh Kieu pagoda, is located right next to Provincial Road 295B.
In front of the communal house is a large lake.
Great Communal Hall has 5 compartments.
On top of the Great Communal Hall has a pair of dragons flanking the sun.
Currently, the communal house still preserves many precious artifacts, especially a 19th century decree (year Tu Duc 33), thrones, tablets, horizontal lacquered board, parallel sentences, etc.
In the communal house, there is an altar of President Ho Chi Minh.
In the communal house’s ground, there is an ancient well.
To the right of the communal house is Vinh Kieu Pagoda (Thien Ung Pagoda) - a National Monument.
The communal house festival is also a festival of Vinh Kieu quarter. Vinh Kieu communal house is ranked as a national historical and artistic relic according to Decision No. 138/QD dated January 31, 1992.
