Prime Minister’s video-conference with businesses: Joining efforts to overcome challenges, take opportunities and restore the economy
(BNP) - In the morning of May 9, the Prime Minister's video-conference with businesses to remove difficulties, boost production and business and restart the economy from the Covid-19 epidemic chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Attending and chairing the conference at Bac Ninh side were Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to a report of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, through a survey of nearly 130,000 businesses, 86 percent of respondents suffered negative impacts from the pandemic. Businesses revenue in the first quarter dropped to 74.1 percent against last year and is anticipated to decline to 70 percent in the first four months. One of the biggest difficulties of businesses now is the lack of capital, especially working capital; over 45% of businesses are in shortage of capital for production and business. Concluding the video-conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expected businesses have to action and strong determination in new conditions to contribute to the country's and businesses’ development as well as job creation for workers. He asked the ministries, branches and localities to directly remove obstacles for enterprises to promote economic development.
Speaking at Bac Ninh side, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang urged all levels, sectors and businesses in the province to focus on synchronously implementing solutions to restart and promote economic development; proactively remove difficulties for business; simplify reform administrative procedures; resolutely handle troublesome and difficult cases for businesses; continue to suspend the inspection and examination of businesses to create conditions for enterprises to concentrate on production and business.
She suggested that businesses continue to well- perform work of prevention and control of the epidemic as well as make efforts to resolve difficulties, seize opportunities, and recover business operations.
