Provincial leaders congratulate Provincial Buddhist Church’s Executive Board on occasion of Buddha's Birthday 2024
(BNP) - On May 10, a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies led by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council visited and congratulated the Provincial Buddhist Church's Executive Board on the occasion of Buddha’s Birthday in Buddhist calendar 2568 - Solar calendar 2024. Venerable Thich Thanh Trung, Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Buddhist Church’s Executive Board received the delegation.

Joining the delegation were Mrs. Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Ha Sy Tiep, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung sent his greetings to the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in general, the Executive Board of the Buddhist Church of Bac Ninh province in particular, and the Venerable, dignitaries, monks and nuns in the province.

Chung briefed on the province’s recent outstanding achievements in socio-economic development. He affirmed that the Provincial Buddhist Church’s Executive Board as well as the monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province have made a significant contribution to achieving these results in addition to the Party Committee, the authority, and the people of the province.
Chung hoped that the Provincial Buddhist Church’s Executive Board would continue to promote the good tradition of Buddhism in the future.

Venerable Thich Thanh Trung expressed gratitude for the provincial leaders' support of the local Buddhist community and their well wishes. At the same time, he confirmed that he would continue to uphold the good traditions of Buddhism and work alongside authorities at all levels to propagandize and mobilize Buddhists to uphold their moral standards and carry out their duties. As a result, they contribute to building Bac Ninh province to increasingly develop in a civilized and modern direction, he added.
