Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Singapore in Vietnam

Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Singapore Ambassador Jaya Ratnam thanked the provincial leaders for spending their time to welcome him. He said that Singapore and Vietnam have a close and sustainable cooperation relationship in many fields. This is a strong foundation for developing cooperation between businesses of the two countries as well as people-to-people exchanges. The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh province in particular are friends with close relationships with Singapore. In his position, the Ambassador would do his best to make the relationship between Singapore and Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh province in particular become even better.

The President of Singapore will pay a state visit to Vietnam in October 2022. One of the purposes of the visit is to complete preparations for the 50th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic establishment and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership in 2023, Jaya Ratnam added.

In the coming time, the Ambassador hoped that Bac Ninh province would continue to pay attention to and help VSIP develop further, as well as soon start the VSIP2 industrial park project in cooperation between Singapore and Bac Ninh province to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Singapore.

For his part, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan briefly introduced the outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development over the past time. He thanked the leaders, the Ambassador and Singaporean businesses for investing in Bac Ninh, typically VSIP is a model of industrial and urban development in Vietnam, the appearance and VSIP's success in Bac Ninh is one of the important contributing factors to the development of the province.

Tuan was happy to hear that the President of Singapore will visit Vietnam and Bac Ninh province in the next time. This is a great opportunity to advertise Bac Ninh's image to potential investors in the world. He further briefed on the information about VSIP 2 Industrial Park. He asked the Ambassador to support and put this content on the agenda of the President of Singapore in Vietnam. Bac Ninh province is committed to preparing all the most thoughtful conditions to welcome the President of Singapore to visit Bac Ninh. This is a meaningful, enriching and more successful activity in the pivotal year of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Singapore diplomatic establishment, 15 years of VSIP presence in Bac Ninh.
