17/17 socio-economic development targets achieve and exceed 2024 plan
(BNP) - On the morning of December 9, at the 24th session of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reported on the socio-economic situation and the management work of the Provincial People's Committee in 2024 as well as socio-economic development plan for 2025.

Standing Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai said that in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee focused on organizing close direction, drastic management, and actively implementing the theme of Work in 2024, thereby estimating that in 2024, 4/17 targets exceeded the plan while 13/17 targets achieved the set plan.
GRDP in 2024 was estimated to increase by 6.03% compared to 2023. Average income per capita was estimated at VND 73 million, up 14.8%. The index of industrial production (IIP) of the whole industry increased by 5.7%. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 10.5%. Tourism revenue increased by 50%. Total import-export turnover was estimated at USD 75.9 billion, up 1%.
Foreign investment attraction increased by 2.9% in the number of newly licensed projects and 70.7% in registered capital compared to the same period; domestic investment attraction increased by 2.2 times in the number of newly licensed projects and 3 times in registered capital; newly-established enterprises increased by 10.1% and registered capital increased by 9.8%.
State budget revenue was estimated at 106.18% of the estimate, up 13.92%. Local budget expenditure was estimated at 99.7% of the estimate, up 38.8%. Total mobilized capital increased by 10.4% compared to the end of 2023; outstanding loans increased by 20.5%.
Foreign affairs and cooperation activities with localities and units continue to be promoted. The province has organized some events such as the Conference on Announcement Planning and Investment Promotion for Bac Ninh province in 2024, Monthly Business Meeting Program. The province also focused on implementing the Bac Ninh Provincial Planning for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan...
In 2024, the province has focused on and resolutely directed the effective implementation of environmental pollution solutions in Phong Khe, Phu Lam, and Van Mon. Local defense and military are strengthened and maintained. The province also organized summary of 1 year of the province Traffic safety and traffic accidents decreased in all 3 criteria compared to 2023.
The quality of key education and mass education continues to affirm its top position in the country. The National High School Excellent Student Competition for the 2023-2024 school year ranked first nationwide in terms of the percentage of candidates winning first prizes, and second in terms of the percentage of candidates winning prizes; 03 candidates won medals at the International and Regional Olympic competitions. The 2024 High School Graduation Exam ranked fifth nationwide in terms of average score with 13 national valedictorians in group C.
The province comprehensively develops the fields of culture, health, ensures social security and welfare, and improves people's lives. Bac Ninh is a province with no poor households, focusing resources on eradicating temporary and dilapidated houses throughout the province for policy families, meritorious people, near-poor households and people in difficult circumstances.
