1st Tu Son City Youth Union Football Tournament in 2024 opens

(BNP) - To respond to the 2024 Youth Month, on March 8, the opening ceremony of the 1st Tu Son City Youth Union Football Tournament in 2024 took place at Dinh Bang ward stadium, Tu Son city.

The tournament is a practical activity to boost the movement of people practicing and competing in sports, especially football, among officials, union members and youth in the city. As a result, it creates conditions for exchange and study to contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of the Youth Union and Federation’s activities. It is also a practical activity to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26), and welcome the Youth Federation Congress at all levels, term 2024-2029.

8 teams from the Youth Unions of wards in the city participated in the tournament. The teams compete in a field format of 07 people, each half lasts 30 minutes. They are divided into 2 tables, and play in a round-robin tournament. 2 first and second teams from each table will advance to the next round.

After the opening ceremony, the matches took place: Dong Ky ward vs. The coalition of Huong Mac-Phu Khe wards (table A); PC City Youth Union vs. The coalition of Trang Ha - Tuong Giang - Tam Son wards.

According to the plan, the tournament’s matches take place every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and the tournament will end on March 30, 2024.
