Bac Ninh leaders join a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam for state visit to Republic of Korea

This was the first visit to the RoK by Phuc in his capacity as President of Viet Nam, and also the first by a Vietnamese President in the past 11 years, and the highest-level visit by Vietnamese Party and State leaders to the RoK since the East Asian country elected a new President.

President Phuc will be the first foreign senior leader to pay a state visit to the RoK since President Yoon took office, showing the RoK’s appreciation of its ties with Vietnam when the Vietnamese President will be welcomed with the highest rites.

Joining the delegation were Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh; leaders of central ministries, branches and a number of provinces. Bac Ninh province has Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

From December 4 to 6, 2022, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation met with RoK Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Speaker of the RoK National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo, RoK Deputy Prime Minister Choo Kyung-ho; attended the Vietnam-Korea Business Forum; met and worked with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry; met and discussed with some of Korea's leading business leaders and financial institutions.

The President and the delegation met and talked with officials and employees of the Embassy and representatives from the Vietnamese community in the RoK, the Ly family in RoK, the Korea - Vietnam Friendship Association (KOVIFA), the Korea - Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association (KOVECA) and the Reputable group in RoK.

On the other hand, the delegation also visited and met the Governor of Gyeonggi province; attended the ceremony to welcome and announce Vietnam Day of Gwangju City; visited the Vietnam Cultural Space and attended the Performing Arts Program to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Rok. Here, Bac Ninh province participated in performing Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs - the representative intangible heritage of humanity; introduced and performed the art of making Dong Ho folk paintings - the profession of making Dong Ho folk paintings - folk woodblock paintings (Song Ho commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province).
