Bac Ninh Provincial Volleyball Championship - Golden Rice Cup 2024 opens
(BNP) - On the morning of September 16, at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Farmers' Association jointly organized the opening ceremony of the Bac Ninh Provincial Volleyball Championship - Golden Rice Cup 2024 on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Farmers' Association present souvenir flags to the teams participating in the Tournament.
The tournament attracted the participation of 54 teams with more than 430 athletes from 8 districts, towns and cities, competing in 4 categories including: 7 men's volleyball teams including athletes aged 16 and over; 4 women's volleyball teams including athletes aged 16 and over; 22 men's volleyball teams, divided into 02 age groups from 16 - 45 years old and from 46 years old and over; 21 women's volleyball teams, divided into 02 age groups from 16 - 40 years old and from 41 years old and over.
Taking place from September 16 to 21, the tournament aims to continue promoting the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", promoting and developing the movement of practicing and competing in volleyball throughout the province.
The tournament is also an opportunity to encourage a large number of farmer members and the masses to actively participate in health training for study and work. It creates conditions for exchange and learning to improve the level of organization, training and competition for officials, coaches and athletes.
