Books, newspapers, and photos about Dien Bien Phu victory displayed at Provincial Library

(BNP) - On the afternoon of May 3, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the document exhibition "Dien Bien Phu Victory - Vietnam's strength, the stature of the times" at the Provincial Library. This is an activity in a series of events organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Dien Bien province and Bac Ninh province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.


Delegates cut the ribbon to open the Exhibition.

Attending the opening ceremony were Prof. Dr. Hoang Chi Bao, senior expert of the Central Theoretical Council; leaders of a number of the provincial departments, along with 300 delegates who are members of the Bac Ninh City Veterans Association.

Document display activities were organized with many contents, vividly and sharply generalizing the resistance war against the French colonialists of our army and people, especially the 56 days and nights of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign.

The exhibition is divided into 3 areas. Area 1 displays books and newspapers about the Communist Party of Vietnam; President Ho Chi Minh; General Vo Nguyen Giap and generals participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; Collection of Marxist-Leninist Thought. Area 2 features paintings and photos. Area 3 compiles a full-text thematic bibliography with the theme "Dien Bien Phu Victory - Vietnam's strength, the stature of the times".

The exhibition takes place from now until May 20, 2024. It aims to introduce to the public the most heroic historical pages of the Vietnamese people, affirming the great value and significance of the times of the resistance war against French colonialism, with the culmination of the Dien Bien Phu victory.
