Exhibition of Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam with tradition of academic education in Bac Ninh province held

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

Delegates attending the event were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee’s Publicity and Education Commission, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Education and Training; scholarly families of Bac Ninh and many students in Bac Ninh city.

The exhibition consists of two main parts. First one is “Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam - The Quintessence of Vietnamese Confucianism”, which conveys the message that Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam is the place where the quintessence of Vietnamese Confucianism, including the important contributions of cultural celebrities: King Ly Thanh Tong, King Ly Nhan Tong, King Le Thanh Tong and Vice Chancellor of Quoc Tu Giam Chu Van An.

The second one is “The tradition of academic education in Bac Ninh province”, which shows that Bac Ninh is the center of Kinh Bac region with a long-standing culture, a land of talented people, a place with a tradition of studiousness and academic education.

The exhibition space brought new and attractive experiences to visitors by combining traditional display forms harmoniously with modern technological solutions such as virtual reality technology and artificial intelligence.

The exhibition is one of the activities to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), aiming to enhance communication about the special national historical and architectural relics of the capital and the whole country. It also promotes the connection between the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam with the Bac Ninh Temple of Literature and the tradition of academic education in Bac Ninh province.

The exhibition helps tourists and people of Bac Ninh province in particular, and tourists nationwide in general, better understand the role and value of the precious heritage of our ancestors and the country. Therefore, these activities contribute to preserving the cultural and educational traditions of the nation, encouraging the studious spirit of the people, especially the young generation of Bac Ninh with the motto of bringing heritage closer to all people and all regions of the country.

The exhibition will last for 1 month (from November 13 to December 13, 2024). After that, the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam will return all documents and artifacts at the exhibition to the Center for Relic Conservation and Tourism Promotion of Bac Ninh province to continue advertising to all Bac Ninh people and tourists.
