Giving gifts to victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in especially difficult circumstances
(BNP) - On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (1961-2024) and the Day for Agent Orange victims (August 10), the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and the sponsor jointly organized a gift-giving ceremony for victims and families of Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances in the province on afternoon of August 16, at the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs,
Leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the sponsor present gifts to victims of Agent Orange.
At the program, leaders of the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims and the sponsor presented 35 gifts, with a total value of more than VND 44 million to Agent Orange/Dioxin victims in especially difficult circumstances in the province.
This is a meaningful work contributing to the care and support of victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, joining hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange in the community.
Currently, the province provides monthly allowances to over 3,000 Agent Orange victims, including 2,240 victims who participated in resistance activities and 774 victims who are the offspring of resistance leaders. The province's supportive policies as well as the generosity of sponsors will serve as powerful motivators to assist people in overcoming obstacles and improving their lives.
