Minister of Public Security To Lam attends the Great National Unity Day in Dong Lam village

(BNP) - On the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front (November 18th, 1930-2017), Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security, on November 13th, attended the Great National Unity Day in Dong Lam village, Quynh Phu commune, Gia Binh district.

Attending the anniversary were Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Members; Mrs. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairman of Central Committee of Fatherland Front; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and members of Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of Provincial Fatherland Front and some relevant departments.

During the program, the delegates and the local residents of Dong Lam village reviewed the heroic history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the past 87 years and evaluated the results of the campaign of  "Building a new rural, civilized urban area" in 2017.

Dong Lam village is located in the eastern of Quynh Phu commune with a total of 1,428 inhabitants in 418 households. So far, the village’s Front Fatherland and unions have actively propagandized and mobilized the people to carry out effectively the Party's guidelines and State’s policies and laws, to unite and actively participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, especially the campaign of "All people build new rural and civilized urban area together" in association with economic development, thereby, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the inhabitants.

In the happiness with the comrades and people of Dong Lam village, Minister of Public Security To Lam warmly praised and congratulated the villagers on their achievements and emphasized that the Great National Unity Day aims to promote solidarity in the community. It was also a democratic forum for promoting the strength of the great national unity, supporting the party and authority’s levels to implement the tasks of socio-economic development.

In the coming time, the Minister of Public Security requested the leaders of Bac Ninh province to keep on building up the Fatherland Front and provincial departments in order to speed up the renovation of contents and forms of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, to further the poverty - alleviation movement, to build new rural, civilized urban area, to ensure the role of mastery of the people and so on.
 

Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Ha presented the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the Fatherland Front of Dong Lam village.

The Minister of Public Security also expressed his wish that Dong Lam villagers needs to promote their good traditional cultural identity as well as the strength of the great national unity for developing Dong Lam village, Quynh Phu in particular and all of the residential areas in the province in general, making the life of people enhanced.

On this occasion, Minister of Public Security To Lam donated VND100 million to Dong Lam Common House and gifts to families in difficult circumstances in the locality to encourage these households to continue overcoming difficulties, trying to rise in life.
