(BNP) - On the morning of April 13, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) received Mr. Norio Aoki, Mayor of Kawasaki City (Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan).

At the meeting, Mr. Norio Aoki said that Kawasaki city is located adjacent to the capital Tokyo. It focuses on industrial and logistic development and has the 6th highest economic growth rate in Japan. In addition, this is also one of the country's typical science and technology research and development cities with many of the world's largest and leading Japanese technology corporations. There are currently about 440 leading research facilities and institutes in the fields of IT, health, biotechnology, etc.

In the coming time, Mr. Norio Aoki hoped that Kawasaki city would have close exchanges and connections with Bac Ninh province, especially technological cooperation in the medical field and that in the long term, direct production factories would be deployed in the province.

For her part, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang briefly introduced the province's socio-economic development situation. Up to now, the province has granted investment registration to more than 2,200 valid projects with a total capital of more than USD 25 billion. Among them, there are 104 investment projects from Japan with a total capital of over USD 1.68 billion.

She hoped that the Mayor of Kawasaki City would introduce the city's businesses and investors to research and invest in Bac Ninh province. Bac Ninh province is always welcomes and creates the most favorable conditions for investors.

The Chairwoman also said that the number of foreigners currently living and working in Bac Ninh province is very large, so the demand for high-class private medical facilities is also very large. Therefore, she hoped that Bac Ninh province and Kawasaki city could coordinate to implement cooperation in investment in the health sector, especially high-end medical facilities and advanced medical technology transfer to promote the potential and strengths of both sides.
