Provincial Food Safety Management Authority raises DDCI
(BNP) – On the morning of August 15, the Provincial Food Safety Management Authority organized a conference to analyze in-depth the District and Department Competitiveness Index (DDCI) in 2023 and propose solutions in 2024.
Overview of the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Bac, Director of the Provincial Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies analyzed and discussed the country's administrative reform work; public service culture and quality of governance; results of implementation of provincial-level local governance indicators and those related to the Provincial Food Safety Management Authority, especially the Authority’s DDCI component scores in 2022 and 2023. On that basis, the Director also suggested a number of solutions and recommendations for the Provincial Food Safety Management Authority to implement in the coming time with the aim of improving the quality of management and operations, while meeting the requirements of professional tasks.
After 6 years of operating towards unifying a focal point for state management of food safety, the Provincial Food Safety Management Authority has coordinated with all levels, sectors and localities to drastically and synchronously deploy solutions to ensure food safety in the province. The work of administrative procedure reform receives special attention and close direction from the Authority's leaders. Currently, 8 out of 8 public services are performed online. The Authority has deployed a 24/24 hotline to promptly receive feedback from people and the press about food safety violations, and receive and answer questions about food safety from people and businesses.
