Provincial leader receives the intern student delegation of University of Social Sciences and Humanities
(BNP) - In the morning of December 9th, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of relevant departments received the intern student delegation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), led by Associate Professor, Ph.D Nguyen Tuan Anh, Dean of Faculty of Philosophy, taking a field trip in Bac Ninh.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phong extended his greetings to intern student delegation of Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on their field trip in Bac Ninh. Vice Chairman briefed students on geo-location, historical traditions, culture, education, and remarkable achievements of socio-economic development of the province for the recent years.
Vice Chairman emphasized that with a start of an agricultural province with the smallest area in the country and difficulties in the socio-economic situation, but after 20 years of re-establishment, Bac Ninh had a spectacular breakthrough with many socio-economic indicators in the top of the country. The fields of culture, education, health care, social welfare are focused and developed. Political security, social order, and security are maintained, creating a favorable environment and attracting investment.
In particular, Bac Ninh is known as a land where is very rich in culture with 1,558 historical relics including 4 special national monuments and more than 500 festivals during the year. Moreover, Quan ho folk songs were honored by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The conservation and promotion of cultural traditions have always been the province's investment interest, contributing to building a cultural and spiritual life for the people.
During the working session, the members of the delegation exchanged information with the provincial leaders, departments on a variety of issues such as the development of handicraft villages, promoting the FDI attraction; public administration reform; training and use of high quality human resources; preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural values, especially Quan ho folk songs; the influence of Buddhism on indigenous beliefs...
On behalf of the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, expressed his gratitude to the provincial leaders for the warm reception and impressed on the traditions of culture and revolution as well as outstanding achievements in the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province over the past years. This will be a valuable resource for teachers, lecturers and students of the Faculty to combine theory with practice for the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning in the future.
In the afternoon of the same day, the intern student delegation visited, offered incense to the Special National Monument of Do Temple (in Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son town) and visited Diem village (in Hoa Long commune, Bac Ninh city).
