Provincial leaders offer incense at Lady King temple - Quan Ho ancestor
(BNP) - On March 13, a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the PPC and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, offered incense at Lady King temple - Quan Ho ancestor on the occasion of the traditional festival in Viem Xa quarter, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city and the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Singing Contest in Giap Thin Spring 2024.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
At the Lady King temple - Quan Ho ancestor, PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers to express their deep gratitude to the Lady King - the founder and teacher of Quan Ho folk songs, who was admired and worshiped by the people, as well as being bestowed titles by the kings.
Since Bac Ninh Quan Ho was recognized as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Bac Ninh province has well implemented the contents as committed to UNESCO on preserving and promoting the value of Quan Ho folk songs such as: investing in preserving and restoring cultural spaces and institutions in the original Quan Ho villages; awarding the title of Quan Ho artisan; developing policies to treat Quan Ho artisans; regularly organizing activities to promote Quan Ho folk songs to friends inside and outside the country, and so on.
Also on the same day, the delegation offered incense at Diem temple and Cung temple - Ngoc well relic site.
