The economic growth rate of Luong Tai district reaches 7.6%
(BNP) - In recent years, Luong Tai district has focused all resources to promote industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas; give priority to developing agriculture in the direction of producing goods of high economic value, applying high technologies, clean and safe technologies.

In 2019, Luong Tai district's economic growth reached 7.6%; the district’s state budget revenue reached more than VND 202 billion; the average income per capita was more than VND 46 million/person/year; the rate of poor households decreased to 1.43%, down 0.5% compared to 2018.
The district converted over 183 hectares, bringing the total converted area to over 277 hectares. In particular, the district converted over 200 hectares from rice cultivation to production of vegetables, flowers, medicinal plants, and fruit trees; more than 70 hectares from low-efficiency rice farming to a concentrated rice-fish model. At the same time, 84 regions producing high-quality rice, commodity crops, and concentrated fruit trees were established with a scale of 2 - 5 hectares or more. During the year, the district’s average rice productivity reached 64 quintals/ha; food production reached 60,420 tons; the district's agricultural production value in 2019 was estimated at over VND 1,298 billion.
Besides, the district developed 750 fish cages on Thai Binh river in the dike communes. The production of fish was estimated at 11,660 tons; the value of aquaculture production was estimated at over VND 533 billion; the value of industry and handicraft was estimated at over VND 3,000 billion…
