Since the re-establishment of the province, Provincial Party Committee has issued a Resolution on rural transport development. The province also coordinated with the Central Government to chane the face of arterial roads with modern scale.

Bac Ninh has nearly 4,000 km of various types including 4 national highways with the length of 170 km and 14 provincial highways with the length of nearly 270 km, 100% of asphalted rate; more than 3,500 km of district, urban and rural roads have been asphalted and concrete. The roads from the provincial administration center to the district center have been expanded, renovated, upgraded and invested, making important contributions to socio-economic development and investment attraction of the province.

In recent years, Bac Ninh has issued many mechanisms, policies, giving priority to devoting resources to developing transport infrastructure.

Up to now, the province has 7 enterprises with 78 vehicles participating in transporting passengers along fixed routes; 385 enterprises, individual households with 805 means of transporting passengers under contracts; nearly 40 businesses with more than 3,500 passenger vehicles by taxi and 1,023 businesses and individual households with 2,895 means of transporting goods. Along with that, the system of intra-provincial and inter-provincial buses with the frequency of more than 300 trips/day.
