(BNP) – After a decade of implementing Directive No. 52-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee on strengthening Party leadership in improving the spiritual life of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones, Bac Ninh province has achieved significant results, contributing to better living conditions for workers and fostering harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.

The province has actively translated the directive into practical policies, integrating it with plans for cultural and sports development, trade union institutions, and worker welfare systems. Bac Ninh currently has 35 operating industrial parks, home to more than 26,000 enterprises and approximately 820,000 workers, including around 568,000 employed in industrial zones and nearly 389,000 migrant workers from other localities.
Over the years, Party committees, authorities, departments, and trade unions have worked closely to implement programs aimed at enriching workers’ cultural and spiritual lives. The Provincial Federation of Labor has organized a wide range of cultural, artistic, sports, and social activities, including Workers’ Month, Tet Reunion, the 9th Hour, and Workers’ Festivals, attracting broad participation from workers and union members.
Grassroots cultural development has also seen positive outcomes. Each year, 90–95% of workers register to follow civilized practices in weddings, funerals, and festivals, while more than 90% of workers’ families earn the title of “Culturally Advanced Family.” Many enterprises regularly reward employees’ children for outstanding academic achievements, helping to build a healthy and progressive workplace culture.
The province has gradually expanded cultural and sports facilities for workers. The Workers’ Counseling and Support Center, operated by the Provincial Federation of Labor since 2014, serves as an important venue for community, cultural, and sporting activities. Many enterprises have also invested in sports grounds, auditoriums, and multi-purpose facilities for employees.
Patriotic emulation movements such as “Excellent Workers, Creative Workers,” “Green, Clean and Beautiful Workplaces,” and “Good at Work, Good at Home” have been widely promoted, contributing to higher productivity, stronger corporate culture, and improved labor relations.
Looking ahead, Bac Ninh considers improving workers’ spiritual well-being a long-term political task. The province will continue investing in cultural institutions, social housing, schools, healthcare facilities, and welfare projects for workers while diversifying cultural and sports activities to suit industrial workers’ schedules. It will also strengthen digital communications, replicate effective models, and develop a highly skilled, professional workforce capable of meeting the demands of rapid and sustainable development in the new era.
