(BNP) - On the morning of April 28, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Thuan Thanh Wounded Soldier Nursing Center and the families of two severely wounded soldiers in Ninh Xa ward. Accompanying him were representatives of the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial People's Committee Office, and leaders of Ninh Xa ward.

Established in 1965, the Thuan Thanh Wounded Soldier Nursing Center was one of the facilities for nursing and treating severely wounded and sick soldiers, with the largest number of wounded soldiers and the most severe injuries in the country. Currently, the center managed, nurtured, treated, and implemented regimes and policies for 83 severely wounded and sick soldiers.

In recent years, leaders of the Party, State, local authorities, and people, as well as socio-economic organizations and individuals, had paid attention to visiting, encouraging, giving gifts, and providing material and spiritual support, contributing to reducing life's difficulties and the pain of wounds, helping severely wounded and sick soldiers continue to preserve and promote the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and effectively implement Uncle Ho's teaching "Wounded but not disabled." The center had made many practical and humane contributions to the wounded and sick soldiers. These were meaningful spiritual gifts building confidence in life and help them overcome the pain of illness.

Speaking here, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son expressed his emotion at visiting the severely wounded soldiers and sent his sincerest regards and deepest encouragement to the wounded and sick soldiers, as well as all staff and employees of the center.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude to previous generations, the wounded and sick soldiers, and those with meritorious services who contributed and sacrificed for the country and for the happy and prosperous life of the People.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also joyfully announced the outstanding results of the province's socio-economic development in recent times. At the same time, he emphasized that he and the leaders of Bac Ninh province would continue the flame of the heroic revolutionary tradition, determined to lead and direct Bac Ninh province to develop faster and stronger in the new era.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his wish that the wounded and sick soldiers and those with meritorious services always stay healthy to witness the daily changes of the homeland and the country. This was also a great source of encouragement for officials, soldiers, and all classes of people in the province to continue competing in labor and production, worthy of the great sacrifices of the previous generations for a peaceful, unified, and prosperous country.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the center's leaders and local authorities to continue paying attention to medical treatment, healthcare, functional rehabilitation, and maintaining a peaceful and healthy old age for the wounded and sick soldiers; promote socialization, expand and consolidate facilities to improve the quality of service provision, and better meet the needs of care and treatment for wounded and sick soldiers in accordance with the new situation.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Provincial Chairman presented gifts to the Thuan Thanh Wounded Soldier Nursing Center and 83 wounded and sick soldiers currently being cared for at the center.

Following that, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son and the provincial working delegation visited and presented gifts to wounded soldier Nguyen Van Cat (born 1959) in Dien Tien residential group and wounded soldier Le Van Nhuan (born 1957) in Bui Xa residential group (Ninh Xa ward). Both were 81% disabled soldiers currently living with their families.

At the visit locations, the Provincial Chairman kindly inquired about the health and lives of the wounded soldiers; at the same time, he expressed deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded soldiers to the cause of national liberation and reunification. The Provincial Chairman hoped that the families would continue to encourage their children and grandchildren to live in harmony and unity, strictly abide by the guidelines and policies of the Party and the laws of the State, and actively work and produce, contributing to building a wealthy, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party committees and authorities of Ninh Xa ward to continue performing well the work of "Gratitude," building and promoting the tradition and moral principle of "When drinking water, remember its source." In particular, pay special attention to and effectively implement the regimes and policies of the Party and State for wounded and sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution; provide timely spiritual and material support to help families have a better life./.
