(BNP) - On the afternoon of February 10th, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son visited and presented Tet gifts to exemplary meritorious individuals and poor households in the communes and wards of Bien Dong, Deo Gia, Luc Ngan, Kien Lao, Tan Son, Sa Ly, Son Hai, Bien Son, Nam Duong, Chu, and Phuong Son.

Speaking at the program, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son extended New Year greetings to local Party committees, authorities, and disadvantaged families.

He suggested that local Party committees and authorities continue to effectively implement social security policies, mobilize the joint efforts of organizations, businesses, and philanthropists in supporting disadvantaged households to improve their lives and achieve stability; focus on implementing socio-economic development programs; pay attention to developing rural transportation infrastructure, applying science and technology, and selecting crops and livestock suitable to local conditions.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Standing Vice thanked the organizations and businesses for joining hands with the province to take care of the people during Tet, and expressed the hope to continue receiving their support in implementing social welfare policies in the future.

At the program, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son along with sponsoring units presented 650 Tet gifts to families of war veterans and poor households in the communes and wards. Of these, the Provincial Red Cross Society donated 200 gifts; Agribank, BIDV Bank, and Vu Pham Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company each donated 100 gifts; and Dan An Law Office (Provincial Bar Association), Vietcombank, and VietinBank each donated 50 gifts.
