About 500 activities to celebrate 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan organized

Up to now, the Vietnam - Japan extensive strategic partnership continues to develop strongly and comprehensively with high political trust. From the beginning of 2023 until now, the two countries have organized about 500 activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, of which about 100 delegations visited and exchanged views with each other, thereby, contributing to strengthening understanding between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation as well as creating a solid foundation to promote cooperative relations between the two countries in the coming time.

The consolidation and strengthening of Vietnam - Japan relations is clearly demonstrated through practical activities such as the Vietnam-Japan University construction project, thereby, promoting cooperation in the fields of labor and interns…; especially the organization of the Hokkaido Festival in Ha Long in November 2023. This will be one of the important activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In Bac Ninh province, many meaningful activities took place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. In particular, the province participates in the organization "Mayors for Peace" with the purpose of promoting Bac Ninh's image, enhancing the presence of Bac Ninh province abroad, thereby opening up local cooperative relationships, investment attraction, cultural exchange, etc. with international partners. The province organized a working delegation to visit and work with Japanese partners, performed Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, displayed and experienced Dong Ho folk paintings in Japan to promote cultural exchange, cooperate, promote investment and trade with Japanese partners; established the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association in Bac Ninh province to strengthen the role of people-to-people diplomacy, promote people-to-people diplomacy to operate more effectively, thereby strengthening solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

Besides, Bac Ninh also organized a “Meet Bac Ninh – Japan” program; performed Japanese Kimono and Vietnamese traditional costumes as well as participated in the "Kanagawa in Hanoi" Festival to promote Dong Ho folk paintings and Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs to the international friends.
