An art exchange of "Tứ hải giao tình"

(BNP) – In the framework of the Festival of "Arrive in Quan Ho land 2019" and the 10th anniversary of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs recognized as the Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, on February 25, at the Kinh Bac Cultural Center, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee organized an art exchange program of "Tứ hải giao tình” (The meeting of four oceans).

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee present flowers and medals to art delegations.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the cultural heritage is a spiritual and material product with historical, cultural and scientific values handed down for generations. It is a valuable asset of each nation and the source of the community, creating the endogenous foundation to promote the development of society. Quan Ho Bac Ninh folksongs is one of the intangible cultural heritages honored by UNESCO. Accompanying the nation's history, the folk songs have been enriched, creating unique cultural values of the people of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong stressed that organizing "Tứ hải giao tình" art exchange program aims at honoring, preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, meanwhile creating closer and more intimate cohesion among provinces in order to enhance introduction and promotion of typical and unique values of cultural heritage to the people of the country and international friends.

During the program, a large number of artisans, artists, actors and musicians from 8 provinces where have currently stored typical intangible cultural heritage of humanity has conducted a wide range of performances such as Bac Ninh’s Quan Ho folk songs; Phu Tho’s Xoan singing; Ví and Giặm folk songs; Bài chòi singing, Đờn ca tài tử singing, space of gongs culture, and Hue’s court music.

The art exchange was elaborately and attractively designed with high artistic quality and content, showing the audiences the similarity, interference between Quan ho heritage and different traditional types. Along with Quan Ho folk songs such as "Mời nước mời trầu", "Ngồi tựa mạn thuyền", "Thuyền mở lái xe",... the program has also the contributions of other types of Bac Lieu and Ha Tinh provinces, bringing different emotions to many audiences at the right heart of Bac Ninh city.
