Bac Ninh wins 31 medals at national and international sports tournaments

(BNP) - According to Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first quarter of 2023, Bac Ninh sent athletes to compete in 2 international sports tournaments, 7 national sports tournaments and excellently won 31 medals of all kinds, including 2 international medals and 29 national medals.

High-achieving sports continue to receive attention and development, especially in key subjects, and domestic and international training cooperation activities continue to be maintained. In the first quarter, Bac Ninh sent athletes to train the national team and national youth team in the following subjects: Boxing, Judo, Badminton, Weightlifting, Karate, Wrestling, Pencak Silat, Fencing.

The mass physical training and sports movement is practiced in many forms by a large number of people; The campaign "All people exercise their body following the great Uncle Ho's example" is increasingly practical and effective. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed and coordinated to successfully organize sports competitions and activities at the Festival "Coming back to Quan Ho land - 2023" such as: Motorbike – Sport bicycle parade; paragliding operations; Bicycle race "Legacy Journey"; Swimming competition on Cau River; mass sports tournaments to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring, festivals in districts and cities...; Nagakawa Running Tournament "Healthy to establish a career and protect the country" XXVII Bac Ninh Newspaper Cup and Olympic Running Day for the health of all people in 2023.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Regulation on a number of nutrition regimes, bonuses and remuneration for coaches, athletes promulgated together with Resolution No. 232/2019/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council; To decide to send delegations to participate in national and international sports tournaments. Organizing the launching ceremony for all people to practice swimming to prevent drowning and the swimming tournament of all ages in Bac Ninh province in 2023; cooperated with Gia Binh District People's Committee to organize the National National Wrestling Championship in 2023…
