(BNP) – On September 11, a business meeting and investment promotion conference of Bac Ninh province was held in Beijing (China).

Participants in the Conference were Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Shi Zhongjun; Ambassador of the Vietnamese Embassy in China Ninh Thanh Cong; Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) Liu Chun and members of Bac Ninh provincial delegation.

Business meeting and investment promotion conference of Bac Ninh province was jointly held by Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, the ACC and the Vietnamese Embassy in China with the participation of more than 120 Chinese enterprises.

Speaking at the Conference, Giang emphasized that, on the basis of the growing comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, Bac Ninh province places a high priority over promoting cooperation with Chinese partners, particularly attracting potential Chinese enterprises to the production and business activities in the province.

She briefed on the province’s socio-economic development and stated that Bac Ninh has basically become a modern industrial province after more than 25 years of re-establishment with many high targets among the leading provinces and cities in the country.

In order to establish and develop the infrastructure for industrial parks, Bac Ninh province has now 24 investment projects, among which, there are 16 integrated industrial parks with an occupancy rate of roughly 58.6%, attracting nearly 2,000 FDI investment projects from 39 countries and territories. A total of USD 950 million have been invested in these projects, 444 of which are from China (excluding Taiwan's 91 projects and Hong Kong's 140 projects). The majority of Chinese projects are in the field of electronic component manufacturing, precision engineering, civil industry and so on, Giang added.

Giang also said that Bac Ninh province strives to become Vietnam's premier center for complete electronics manufacturing in the coming time. As a result, the province welcomes Chinese investors who are interested in making investment there and join their hand with Bac Ninh to bring benefits to both parties, particularly green investment attraction, high-tech industry, supporting industry associated with advanced management and administration method; 5G and 6G end-to-end technology; high-tech and clean agriculture; high-end commercial and service complexes; investment projects of infrastructure, urban and ecology development.

The Chairwoman affirmed that with its convenient location, safe and attractive business environment, and the accomplishments of investors who have been investing in Bac Ninh, it demonstrates that choosing Bac Ninh as a destination for Chinese enterprises to explore investment is the right direction. This choice creates many opportunities and potential for cooperation and development. Bac Ninh province pledged to always accompany and facilitate investors for researching and investing in the province.

At the Conference, the leaders of ACC, CCCME and the Ambassador highly appreciated and congratulated Bac Ninh province on its achievements in the socio-economic development. They believed that the cooperation between Bac Ninh province and Chinese enterprises would be a significant developing potential. Through the Conference, Chinese and Vietnamese enterprises improve interchange, cooperation, and seek mutual development.

Participants learnt and discussed the investment environment, preferential policies, investment attraction as well as the Bac Ninh provincial government's commitments and assistance for Chinese enterprises and investors during the conference.
