Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee visits and congratulates on occasion of 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day

The Center currently has 16 departments and offices with a total of 187 officials and employees, with the function of advising and organizing the implementation of professional and technical activities on prevention and control of epidemics, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases; prevention and control of the impact of risk factors affecting health; public health management; examination, detection, preventive treatment and other medical services suitable to the professional field in the province according to the provisions of law, meeting assigned political tasks.

Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan sent his best wishes on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day. He acknowledged and commended the achievements as well as the efforts and silent sacrifices of the Center’s cadres, doctors and medical staff in the past time, thus actively contributing to the cause of caring for and protecting the health of the people in the province.

The Chairman emphasized that in recent times, along with the development of the province, the health sector also had to overcome many challenges in the face of complicated developments domestically and internationally, especially the COVID-19 pandemic. For the Center, this is a difficult but proud period. In addition to epidemic prevention, it has also performed well in other activities such as: medical examination and treatment, vaccination services, water and food testing, school health, testing, environmental health, and health education and communication.

As the first line of defense in protecting and taking care of people’s health, Chairman Tuan hoped that the Center would continue to do a good job in disease prevention and control, thereby, contributing to reducing pressure on people’s health care.

Tuan believed that with the trust and expectations of the Party Committee, the authority and the people for the health sector, the Center would promote its glorious tradition, continue to make more efforts, make more contributions to the province’s overall development, and join hands to realize the aspiration of turning Bac Ninh into a centrally-governed city in the near future.

On the same day, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan presented flowers and congratulated Meritorious Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Noi, former Deputy Director of the Ha Bac Department of Health. At Dr. Noi’s private home in Suoi Hoa ward, Bac Ninh city, Tuan respectfully acknowledged and expressed deep gratitude for his contributions to the health sector of Ha Bac province in general and Bac Ninh province in particular.
