Delegation of Kanagawa prefecture, Japan visits and works in Bac Ninh province
(BNP) - On the afternoon of February 6, Mrs. Dao Hong Lan, Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with a delegation led by Mr. Watanabe Hitoshi, Vice Chairman of Kanagawa prefecture, Japan visiting and working in Bac Ninh province. Attending were the comrades Nguyen Hanh Chung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Watanabe Hitoshi quickly informed about the geographical position, economic, cultural and social situation of Kanagawa prefecture. Recently, Kanagawa prefecture held a Japanese Cultural Festival in Hanoi with the participation of artists of Quan Ho Folk Theater of Bac Ninh, thereby receiving the enthusiastic response of the people of the two sides Vietnam and Japan.
In the coming period, Mr. Watanabe Hitoshi hoped Bac Ninh province would actively participate in cultural activities between the two sides to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation relationship between the two provinces. At the same time, he also pledged to act as a bridge to introduce businesses of Kanagawa prefecture to invest in Bac Ninh.
Welcoming Kanagawa prefecture’s delegation to visit and work in Bac Ninh, Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Dao Hong Lan briefly introduced the geographical position, potential, strengths as well as the outstanding achievements in the province’s socio-economic development in recent years. Until now, the province has more than 1,500 FDI projects from 34 countries and territories in the world with a total investment of about USD 19 billion. In particular, Japan is the country with the second-largest number of FDI projects with nearly 100 projects, total investment capital of about USD 1.5 billion.
On the basis of the relationship and co-operation between Vietnam and Japan, the Standing Deputy Secretary hoped that Bac Ninh and Kanagawa would establish the close and regular exchange and support relationships in all fields. Besides, she affirmed that Bac Ninh province will actively participate in cultural and tourism activities in the coming years to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two provinces, contributing to the development of the two countries.
