Delegation of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry visits Bac Ninh province

(BNP) - In the morning of October 23rd, a delegation of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Nong, Vice President of the university visited and worked in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Nong, Vice President of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry thanked provincial leaders for the warm welcome and gave an overview of the operation of the school. Established in 1969, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry now has 08 faculties, 11 centers and research institutes with 454 officials and employees, among which, there are 291 lecturers. The University trained 23 majors at the undergraduate level; 09 majors and 08 doctoral majors. The school is evaluated as a place for training and transferring science and technology in Vietnam on agriculture, forestry, natural resources and environment management…

In the coming time, he hoped that Bac Ninh province would continue to pay attention and facilitate the university to carry out scientific research and technology transfer projects on agriculture and forestry in the province.

At the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tien Nhuong quickly informed the outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development. With a favorable geopolitical location and open investment policy, Bac Ninh is now one of the fastest-growing localities with many indicators in the top of the country.

The province also paid attention in devoting many resources to the implementation of social security policies, especially focusing on education and training development. In recent years, Bac Ninh has linked and attracted many universities and colleges on investment and construction in the province including many big universities such as Banking Academy, People's Police University of Technology and Logistics Political University (Ministry of Defense)…

The Permanent Vice Chairman desired Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry to continue promoting the achievements after 50 years of construction and development with an aim to training high quality human resources for the common development of the country. At the same time, Bac Ninh would create favorable conditions for the school to carry out projects, scientific research projects and technology transfer in agriculture and forestry in the province.
