Domestic Water

Bac Ninh province now has 08 clean water factories, among which, 07 factories belong to Bac Ninh Clean Water Joint Stock Company. 01 factory invested by An Thinh Joint Stock Company; 27 clean water supply works in rural areas completed and put into operation with a total capacity of nearly 17,000m3/day and night.

There are 10 water factories in integrated industrial parks, of which, there are 4 factories in operation including Tien Son, Yen Phong I, Que Vo I and VSIP with a total designed capacity of 24,400m3/day; The remaining factories are in the process of preparing construction investment.

According to the approved planning of water supply in Bac Ninh province to 2030, vision to 2050, the demand for water supply of the province till 2020 is 380,200m3/day. By 2030, the total demand for water in the province will be 535,600 m3/day. By 2050, the total demand for water in the province will be 817,600m3/day.

Water supply plan, location of capacity scale of water supply works are planned by Bac Ninh province with the construction and development of large-capacity surface water factories.

+ Using Cau river water source: To build a new Bac Ninh surface water factory with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day in the period by 2020 and raise it to 20,000 m3/day in the period to 2030; to increase Cho township surface water factory’s capacity from 3,000m3/day to 6,000m3/day by 2020; to raise the capacity of Yen Phong I Industrial Water factory (expanded) from 5,000m3/day to 10,000m3/day.

+ Using Duong river water source: To build Chi Lang water factory with a capacity of 100,000m3/day in the period up to 2020 and increase its capacity to 200,000m3/day in the period till 2030; to build Minh Dao water factory with a capacity of 25,000m3/day in the period from now to 2020; to build Thuan Thanh water factory with a capacity of 20,000m3/day in the period up to 2020 and increase its capacity to 40,000m3/day in the period till 2030; to raise the capacity of Gia Binh water factory from 1,200m3/day to 10,000m3 m3/day in the period to 2020, and to 20,000m3/day by 2030.

+ Using Thai Binh river water source: To raise the capacity of An Thinh water factory from 1,800m3/day to 10,000 m3/day in the period to 2020 and to 20,000m3/day in the period till 2030.
