High-yield, high-quality rice occupies 72.9% of cultivated area
(BNP) - According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the 2022 crop season, the province planted 29,844.3 hectares of rice, of which 21,766.9 hectares of high-yield and high-quality rice, accounting for 72.9% of the total, an increase of 1,059.4 ha compared to the 2021 crop.

Localities with a large proportion of high-yield and high-quality rice areas include: Tien Du 3,457.6 ha (accounting for 97.9% of the cultivated area); Tu Son city 1,784.7 ha (95%); Yen Phong 3,120 ha (86.7%); Bac Ninh city 1,285.4 ha (89.1%); Que Vo 5,450 ha (79%)…, with the main varieties put into cultivation are: BC15, VNR20, Bac Thong No. 7, TBR225, Dai Thom 8, sticky rice of all kinds.
